We had palette's we used as tables when we had backyard events. Before we moved, I thought we could create a vertical edible garden. Thank you Steve for helping me make it happen. And for neighbors and friends nearby for lending us the tools :)

1st step is finding a palette to use, we used the best palette we had.

2nd is to remove some of the wood on the back, to cover the bottom of each planter box.

Next is to cut the right size for each section box.

Place each cut wood on the bottom of each section. We used a nail gun to secure each one which makes it so much easier.

It makes 6 section of planter box.

Next step is to sand it down to prep for paint.

I bought white outdoor water proof stain and sealer and a chalkboard paint.

I painted everything white (except the area for the chalkboard paint), I did 1st coat of paint and waited 24 hours before the next coat.

I placed tape to separate the chalkboard area, this will help label your plants. I also did a 1st coat of the chalkboard paint.

Make sure you paint everything well, to seal the wood so it will last, esp it will get wet from watering.

Lastly, choose what plants you want to put in each section and label it :)
